Hands on Impressions
Hi,
Thursday morning we arrived at Lefkas-our first real stop. After a few stormy days with 4-6 bft, it was blissfully windless at the island's harbor.
Add to that the last 2 days of continuing dazzling sunshine, without the window, a delicious Greek dinner with appetizers, calamari and wine and the vacation is perfect.
Clean and well rested we left Lefkas this morning and continue through a little wind and ongoing sunshine through the Golf of Patras. Since our raymarine follows our new planned route we don't even need to steer and navigate on our own.
Our destination is the Canal of Korinth and after that we have another little break in the harbor planned.
This way we have enough time to enjoy the important things in life. Due to the rocking of the seas because of the heavy storm our meals up this point have been very troublesome in production and eating, but today our day started with a wonderful breakfast of freshly baked chocolate croissants from our oven, puff pastries and freshly foamed capuccino. Even our frugal skipper Micha could be seduced to a meal that way.
Sadly the tooth picks are missing to refine the little appetizers with olives and sheep cheese. Ah yes, and everything of course is accompanied with our music collection that keeps sounding from the cockpit.
Mathias is taking ample care of all the tamagotchis on board. Besides our built in raymarine we have an iPad, which is phantastic to navigate with and my garmin, which in function and usability is way behind the iPad. The day goes by really fast playing, programming, testing and uploading.
See you later!
Greetings,
Sabine and Mathias
